Kratie faces the Mekong with a line of French-colonial terraces, and Koh Trong island floats just across the water: pomelo orchards, sandy lanes, and homestays reached by ferry.
The heritage stock in town is small and specific, river-front terraces that reward careful restoration, and that is the register we are quietly building.
